Year 13 Media Studies students’ group interview with director Jamie Weston and actress Carla Fraser about their short film, ‘Wings’, as part of the Iris Prize Film Festival.

A group of Year 13 Media Studies students (Niamh Buckland, Caoimhe Reynolds, Celyn Nicholson, Ela Morris, Tash Hermann, Tomos Allen-Evans and Madeleine Lyle) recently interviewed film director Jamie Weston and actress Carla Fraser via Microsoft Teams about their short film, ‘Wings’, as part of the Iris Prize Film Festival. Extracts from the interview was broadcasted live from the Iris website on Wednesday 7th October.

‘Wings’, along with three other films which focus on LGBTQ+ issues, have been shortlisted for the Iris Prize Youth Award. The films will be available to watch on https://www.irisprize.org from the 6th October. The winner will receive £30,000 to make their next short film.
