Estyn Report 2023

Estyn has published its report following an inspection of the School in March 2023. Please use the links below to view the report. You can have a paper copy if you wish by contacting the office. It is good to be able to share this report and the very positive messages reflect the hard work of staff, pupils’ commitment to their work and the support of the governing body, parents and guardians, and other friends of the school. You will see that the School has two recommendations and we have already completed an action plan to address these and ensure that we continue to make improvements at the school. Following the inspection, Estyn has requested two case studies from the School (2 is the most that can be requested) and these will appear on the Estyn website shortly.

Estyn Visit

General News

Dear parents / guardians,

We have been informed that Estyn will inspect the school during the week which starts on the 6th of March. The team of inspectors will look at all aspects of the school’s work in order to prepare a full report. The final report will be published in May.

In order to reach an opinion, the inspection team will gather opinions by talking to learners, with staff, by scrutinising work and observing lessons, together with looking at the school’s documents. Gathering the views of parents and carers is also very important. In order to gather the views of parents and carers, we ask you to complete a questionnaire by following the link below or using the QR code. There will also be an opportunity to give an opinion verbally during a meeting between the inspectors and parents. The meeting will be held in the school hall at 5.00 o’clock, Monday evening, March 6th. Everyone is warmly welcome.
